1. Information We Collect

We collect minimally necessary information to provide you with the LevelUp Interview service. This includes:

• Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture (via OAuth providers such as Google).
• Usage Data & Analytics: We collect anonymous data regarding page views and interactions using Google Analytics to improve the platform. This is only collected if you grant Cookie Consent. We use an anonymous identifier — never your email address — when reporting to Google Analytics.
• Coding Progress & Submissions: We store your problem-solving progress and code submissions to track your learning journey over time. This data is linked to your account and is permanently deleted when you delete your account.
• Support & Feedback: If you submit a support request or feedback, we store your name, email, and message to respond to your inquiry. You consent to this storage by submitting the form.
• Payment Information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store or process your credit card details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly to provide, secure, and improve the LevelUp Interview application. Specifically:

• To manage your account and authentication.
• To track your tutorial and coding challenge progress.
• To respond to support and feedback requests.
• To analyze aggregated usage patterns and improve website content.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information with third-party services that are necessary for the operation of this platform:

• Google / OAuth: For secure sign-in authentication. Google receives your consent to share your profile information (name, email, profile picture) with us.
• Stripe: When you make a purchase, your name and email address are shared with Stripe as our payment processor. This is necessary to fulfill your order and manage your subscription. Stripe stores and processes your payment card details on their secure infrastructure. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
• Google Analytics: For aggregate analytics (only if you have given Cookie Consent). We send an anonymous identifier, not your email or name.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:

• Account & Profile: Kept until you delete your account.
• Coding Submissions & Progress: Kept for the lifetime of your account to power your progress dashboard. Permanently deleted when you delete your account.
• Support Requests: Kept for up to 2 years for quality assurance and dispute resolution.
• Payment records: Retained by Stripe per their own data retention policy. We retain only a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID — no payment card data.

5. Your Data, Your Rights (Right to be Forgotten)

You have full control over your data. At any time, you can visit your Profile page to permanently delete your account. Deleting your account will immediately remove your profile, progress, and all associated code submissions from our primary databases. Stripe payment records are subject to Stripe's own retention policy.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and optional site analytics. Authentication cookies are strictly necessary for the service to function. You may decline non-essential analytics cookies via our Cookie Consent banner upon your first visit. Revoking consent will stop all future analytics tracking for your browser session.
